Ice hotel

Yesterday I was learning aboout Sweden and found out about the coolest thing ever! Once a year in a city call Jakasjarvi a bunch of archetects come to make a life size hotel made of ice!Whats really cool is that you can even sleep in a bed made of entirely ice every thing is ice! I also found out that the arora borealis can be seen from a hotel window (if you can stay awake long enough).

Card games

I wonder how many kids play trading card games. I at know at least five people that play card games including me. Now adays if you walk in a store and look in the card section.There are TONS of really weird card games such as Card Jitsu,Pokemon,(it has quite a big section)Magic the Gathering, World of Warcraft,(I play that card game)and tons of other card games I cant even spell.I wonder what other crazy card games people will come up with in the future!

Testing

Last Saturday I tested for my blue belt it is the sixth belt and I only have four belts until black belt. It was quite exciting! My instructor told me I needed to write an essay on self control.I ended up two days before testing.Here it is:
Self Control
There are seven tenants of taekwondo they are: Honor, Humility, self-control, indomitable spirit, courtesy, integrity, and perseverance. All these tenants are extremely important to follow in our daily lives.
Self control is a very important tenant. The definition of self control is: restraint of ones actions, emotions or desires. To me Self Control means that you are able to restrain yourself from doing things out of desire or want. Just because you really want to do something doesn’t mean you do it.
Taekwondo has helped me with my self control quite a bit. Before taekwondo I would eat doughnuts, cream filled bagels, or any other pastries at any chance I would get. Now that I have practiced my self-control I don’t eat as many sweets as I had. An example is: when I deliberately turned down a cream cheese Danish even though I really, really wanted one. There are also two other ways I demonstrated self control they are, restraint of my actions or the restraint of my emotions. Another way that I demonstrated self control is when I controlled my desire to yell when my sister was pestering me
So, if it wasn’t for Taekwondo I really don’t know how well I would be controlling my desires, actions, or emotions. So I encourage others to become martial artists because it helped me a lot with my self control!

I thought it sounded goofy but it was still fine the way it was!

Pottery

Not too long ago I went to a pottery class and made two things a leaf plate and a ladybug bank.It took 3 steps to make sure that my ladybug bank actuly look like a bug and not a colorfull glop of clay.First I have to make my ladybug the right shape and bake it in the kilm.Second I need to paint my ladybug.Third I need to put a coat of clear stuff that makes the bug smooth.Finally I have to put it in the kilm once more. When it comes out my lady bug is finished!

Freerice

You might notice the banner for freerice on the right hand side.If you dont know what it is then click on the banner.There are many diffrent subjects, I have done all of them. I have been playing freerice for 3 years now and I have donated a total of over 70,000 grains of rice and I feel so good that I have helped the hungry while learning and practicing things. :)

Ants

A year ago we sprayed the foyer for ants apparently they came back. Because every time I see food on the floor there are ants hundreds of ants and all I can do is smash them with my thumb.Funny thing is that my thumb smells like coke afterward!I just hope they dont come into my room I cant imagine what it would be like if I had ants in my bed!

Peyote

Ok, remember when I was talking about peyote and how cute she was? Well,I have bad news yesterday she died.We started to notice her being sick 1 month ago and she went to several visits to the vet.So we took her to the vet yesterday around 3:00 and they said she was fine but they were going to run more testes on her. My mom left peyote at the vet because the tests were going to take an hour.While we were home my mother had goten a call from the vet.While she was talking I could tell somthing was not good because she looked pale and looked upset.Afterward she told me that peyote had adisences desiease it is somthing you are born whith and can not be cured.Since the desiease would kill her. Mom let the vet put peyote to sleep.The next day she told me that we were going to get a new puppy but not right away.But it so happens that that night we found a bach of mastiffs puppys someone was selling not to far from were we lived.There were two brindle puppys and to neopoliten mastiffs all of them were girls with sky blue eyes.when I was chooseing which puppy to take home one of the six week old puppys crawled up to me looked at me and licked me. OUT OF ALL THE PUPPYS THE NEOPOLITEN PUPPY WAS THE ONLY ONE TO PAY ATTENTION TO ME. So I picked that one. She gets LOTS of lovins.
